Baby's Room

Week 38

Had another doctor's appt on Tuesday. Not much to report except everything looks good!

Ryan's work had a baby shower for us last Friday. Very nice gathering and we got some nice gifts, including the Snap-N-Go stroller and the thermal scan thermometer thingie.

Update

Doctor's visit today. Not much to report. All is going well. The doctor did a quick ultrasound to check the baby's position. Already pointed head down. yea! Oh, and we got a dresser/changing table yesterday so the baby's room is just about done. There was a furniture store going out of business so we got a pretty good deal. We just have to get the rest of the decorations up. woohoo!

Baby Shower

Ryan's family put together a baby shower for us and here are some of the photos. It was a great sunny day and I had such a great time. Thanks to everyone who helped out! For those out-of-towners who couldn't make it, you were missed!

We got lots of great stuff, with lots of yellow and green. : )

Nursery Room Decor

We finally got some nursery decorations this weekend. Found a nice set that wasn't boring neutral and yet not too girlie/boyish. Here's the crib with the bumpers and stuff. We also hung the quilt and put up the window valance. We plan to put up a few more wall things, and we need a mobile yet too. But we're getting there!!

Birthday present

Well, I got a great birthday present in the form of a new President. Hope everyone got to see part of the Inauguration.

We went out for Indian food for dinner for my birthday, and the baby either really liked the spicy food or not. I got several good kicks afterwards for that one. : ) Guess we'll find out later....

I also got some other fun stuff including a Philly Flyers License plate holder (woohoo! going on the CRV!) and lots of TastyKakes (thanks to the helpers out East!)

In baby news, I had my 33 wk appointment and all is well. Now I start going to the doctor every 2 weeks. I've also gained about 20 lbs. total so far so it looks like I'll end up at the 30 lb. average. It's hard to be happy about weight gain, but it's all for a healthy baby, right?

We also got a Glider chair for me off of Craiglist. It's a Shermag, one of the high end brands, but we got it for only $60. woohoo! The wood matches the crib color pretty well too, which is a nice bonus. Just have to clean it up a bit and it should be good to go. Photos to come later..
